Live Ventures to Defend Against Lawsuit

LAS VEGAS, May 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Live Ventures Incorporated,  (Nasdaq:LIVE), (the “Company”), a diversified holding company, announced today that a shareholder has filed a lawsuit against the Company and two of its current officers in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, under the caption Keith Kolish, Individually and on Behalf of All Others Similarly Situated vs. Live Ventures Incorporated, Jon Isaac and Virland A. Johnson, No. 2:17-cv-01258-RFB-GWF.

The lawsuit alleges violations of the federal securities laws and purports to seek damages on behalf of a class of all shareholders who purchased the Company’s common stock within a specified period of time.  The Company believes that the lawsuit is without merit and intends to vigorously defend against it.

“Securities claims like this are often pursued by opportunistic lawyers when there is a drop in stock price,” stated Jon Isaac, CEO of Live Ventures. “We believe this suit to be frivolous and plan to file a motion to dismiss.”
